He Found His Thumb!

We all new it was only a matter of time... Friday afternoon, Jake found his thumb!

Unfortunately, he has found his left thumb, which makes him turn his head to the left even more. With the torticollis, we are trying to keep his head turned to the right as much as possible. His Mimi had the good sense to suggest that we cover his left thumb, so we will try that tonight. I'm not thrilled that he is a thumbsucker, but he looks so cute with it! :)

Packers Game

Jack became a big Packers fan a couple of years ago, and has since converted the whole family. He is even working on brainwashing Jake, and I think he has already succeeded with Mitch. Mitch picks out all of the Green Bay cards out of his football cards and says "Go Packers"! Needless to say, we were not too happy with the result of the football game last Sunday, but I had to post this great picture of my boys all decked out in their Green Bay gear!

New Blog

Since this seems to be the new way everyone is keeping family and friends updated on their lives, I thought I would give it a try...

Believe it or not, with Jake almost 11 weeks old (on Monday) and Mitch a little over 2 1/2, things are actually calming down at the Roberts house! Mitch is now potty trained, and Jake is sleeping through the night! I was DREADING the potty training, but it was really pretty easy. I think I put it off so long that Mitch was more than ready. Just two weeks after I first tried, he tells me when he has to go potty (at home or out and about) and is even staying dry through the night. As for Jake, at right about 9 weeks, he went to sleep one night at around 9:30, and woke up the next morning at 7:00, and he's been doing that pretty much since then! I am one lucky duck!

Mitch is a great big brother, too. Much more so than I had expected. He loves to give Jake lots of hugs and kisses. Of course, he also gets a little jealous... He usually chooses when I sit down to nurse Jake as the time to say "Hold me, Mommy". He doesn't like Jake to be upset, though. The other day, Jake was crying, and Mitch came and said, "Jake's fussin'. Fix him dinner!" (Did I mention Mitch can be a little bossy?)

Jack and Alex are doing great, too. They are really a big help to me with the little guys, especially Mitch. They are amazingly patient with him! Jack is playing basketball again this year, and having a blast. Alex has decided football is going to be his thing (scary, huh?), so he decided against playing basketball.

As for me and Gary, we are doing great, too, and loving the chaos of a large family. I LOVE my house full of boys more than I could have ever dreamed!

This is about all of the time I could squeeze in to figure this blog thing out, but I'll post again soon, and I will have some pics for you next time...
