No New Update today...

I know...I'm falling short of my goal by not doing my Apple Orchard post today....but I have good excuse!

It snowed about 4" here yesterday...which it almost NEVER does! So, we spent the morning outside sledding. We are in for nap/rest time, and I am catching up on some laundry and getting ready to go a friend's for dinner tonight.

So...you'll have to forgive me, but the Apple Orchard will have to wait for tomorrow...and the snow pics will have to wait their turn, remember I'm still working on October!

Fall Farm Fun (Take 2)

...and Take 1 part B... I forgot a few of the pics from our first trip when I posted yesterday.

Last year when I posted our farm pics, I said we'd see how long we could keep the fence rail pics going...Well, here's one more year!

Mitch and Gabe 2009 (age 4)
Mitch and Gabe 2008 (age 3)
Mitch and Gabe 2006 (age 1)...we missed 2007!
Jake and Luke playing on the steps of the log house
These two are not easy to get a good picture of together!

Hmmm...maybe Jake is the problem...Here's the best shot we got of all 5 boys. Jake wasn't looking at the camera in any of them!

Jake playing in the corn field and sunflowers
Mitch and Jake at the water pump

Here are a couple of Mitch and Jake together...

Gabe...I just love this picture, so I had to put it in! :)
Ahhh...the faces this kid makes! :)

Mitch and Jake in the hay bail maze

Jake fell in a mud puddle and wasn't very happy about it!
Mitch on the hay ride
Playing the seed bins
Tomorrow's post...The Apple Orchard with Mimi!
Oh...and by the way...IT'S SNOWING today!!!! BIG TIME!!!!

Fall Farm Fun! (Take 1)

Every fall, me and Lindsay and our boys, head to a wonderful little farm for a little fall fun! We look forward to it all year! By the time September hits, we can't wait! You see...it's only open for about 5-6 weeks of the year! They have a great pumpkin patch, hay rides, a hay bail maze for the little ones, a little playground area, little calfs and pigs and chickens, goats to feed, a corn field...basically, you name and they have it!

This past year, we actually got out there twice, and this post is just the first trip! It hit us that the first time we went, Mitch and Gabe were younger than Jake and Luke were this year. How did time go by so fast?

Enough words, though...I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

WARNING! LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES BELOW!

I LOVE this picture, even though neither of them is looking at the camera. There's just something so real and precious about it!

...speaking of real! Wow...could Mitch look anymore mischeivous? and could Jake shrink any further away from Mitch? He wasn't about to let go of that pumpkin to push Mitch away, though!
Awwww...look at those cheeks!!!!

Mitch and Gabe

Does this picture of Mitch look a little bit like the one with Gabe above? I had to crop Gabe out of the picture to have a solo picture of Mitch from this outing! Mitch and Gabe were absolutely glued at the hip!

Jake and Luke
My little trouble-maker! I have no idea what he was up to, but by the look on his face it must be something good!
Mitch, Gabe and Sam...when did they get so grown?

Jake loved playing with the tractors and farm toys
He's such a ham!
I feel quite certain this was some type of Star Wars Jedi pose!
Make sure to click here to see the post from last year and see how much the boys have grown!
And....mission accomplished! One post today! Yay me! Tomorrow's post...our second farm trip!

I'm Back...

...and I'm not going to make any excuses, it would just take up valuable posting time! I'm just going to jump right back in where I left off...OCTOBER 2009!

I love fall! It's always so full of fun times...soccer, football, chili cook-off, halloween...and the weather is beautiful! Our neighborhood sponsors a chili cook-off every fall, and it's a great time for the whole family! We had jumpies, face-painting, a fire-truck, and a DJ with games. The boys had so much fun! Mitch's class has a cow, Connie the Cow, who goes home with a different kid every week, and it was Mitch's week with Connie....so Connie got to go the Chili Cook-Off also!
I'm not really sure what is with Jake and the solemn face...not like him at all!
Mitch and his twin "Jack Jones"....and yep...that's Mimi in the background. She got to come, too!
Mitch posing with Connie the Cow for his page in the Connie Journal
Funny, isn't it? The further behind I am, the less have I have to say!!!
FYI...my new (more manageable goal) is one post a day until I am all caught up! See you guys again tomorrow with pictures from "The Farm" as we affectionately call it!
